From Siddharth to Sakyamuni and finally to the Enlightened, One Buddha-an incredible transformation of a prince to an enlightened teacher, who walked on the earth, more than 2500 years ago. Born in Lumbini, Nepal this Prince was moved by sorrow, misery, pain and death, in the Prime of his youth, decided to discover the causes and the means to overcome their occurrences. Buddha set off, leaving home and family, renouncing wordly pleasures and travelled from place to place until finally he attained enlightenment by meditating under the Bodhi Tree. He then preached the truth he discovered and exhorted his disciples to follow the Eight Fold Path for the cessation of the endless cycle of birth and re-birth. This tour takes you through the most prominent Buddhist sites from which Buddhism spread as a religion, not only in India but beyond its frontiers.

  • 1Day 01 : Arrive Gaya(D)

    Arrive Gaya, Bodhgaya one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage centres. It was here that Gautama attained enlightenment and became Buddha under the ”Bodhitree”. Visit Mahabodhi Temple built by Ashoka the Great in 3rd Century BC one can also visit the Sacred Bodhi tree also visit Sujata House a temple dedicated to a Uruvela tribeswoman who offered food to the starving Siddhartha.   • 2Day 02 : Bodhgaya-Rajgir-Bodhgaya (B/L/D)

    Full Day Excursion to Rajgir capital of 6th century Magadha empire. Buddha spent many years here. Visit Gridhrakuta, Sapataparni cave, Ajatsatru fort and Venuvana. & Nalanda – the world’s oldest university founded in the 5th century. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

  • 3Day 03 : Bodhgaya-Varanasi (B/L/D)

    Early Morning after Breakfast Proceed for Varanasi. Afternoon excursion to Sarnath, the principle centre of Buddhism. It was here around 530 B.C that Buddha preached his 1st sermon after gaining enlightenment. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

  • 4Day 04 : Varanasi-Kushinagar (B/L/D)

    Early morning boat ride on river Ganges to see the beautiful sunrise at Ganges. Drive to Kushinagar, afternoon Sightseeing of Kushinagar, visiting Ramabhar stupa which stands on the spot where the body of the Lord was cremated. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

  • 5Day 05 : Kushinagar-Lumbini-Sravasti (B/L/D)

    After Breakfast Proceed for Sravasti on the way Sightseeing of Lumbini the place where Buddha was born. An ancient shrine with an image representing the nativity of Buddha is still preserved. Continue your drive to Sravasti. On arrival check into Hotel Overnight stay at the Hotel.

  • 6Day 06 : Sravasti-Lucknow (B/L/D)

    Morning visit Sravasti (Sahet-Mahet), capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala, an active centre for Buddhism. Jetvana Vihar has the honour for sheltering Buddha for 24 rainy seasons in and has the famous Anand Bodhi tree, age-old stupas, majestic monasteries and several temples after sightseeing proceed to Lucknow.   • 7Day 07 : Lucknow-Sankasia-Agra (B/L/D)

    Early morning leave Lucknow, for Agra, enroute Sankasia. Where Lord descended from heaven after giving sermon to his mother after 7 years of her death. Continue drive to Agra. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

  • 8Day 08 : Agra-Delhi Depart(B/L/D)

    Morning Visit Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Afternoon drive to Delhi, transfer to Airport to Connect Flight for onward destination after a short drive past sight seeing of Delhi.
